How to Extract Pages from a PDF
Learn how to create a new PDF containing only selected pages from your document
Step-by-Step Instructions
1 Open the PDF Editor
From the File Manager, click on the PDF file you want to extract pages from.
The editor displays all pages as thumbnails.
2 Select Pages to Extract
Click on the page thumbnails you want to extract to select them.
You can select multiple pages by holding Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac) while clicking.
Use the Selection dropdown in the toolbar for quick selection patterns (all pages, even pages, odd pages).
3 Click Extract Pages Button
Once pages are selected, a toolbar appears at the top showing the number of selected pages.
In this toolbar, click the Extract pages button (scissors icon ).
A modal dialog will open asking you to name the new document.
4 Name the Extracted Document
In the modal, you'll see the number of pages being extracted.
Enter a name for your new PDF in the "Document Name" field.
The default name is "Extracted_Pages" but you can change it to anything you like.
5 Extract and Download
Click the Extract and Download button.
The new PDF will be generated containing only your selected pages.
The file will automatically download to your device.
A green success notification will confirm the extraction.
6 Continue Editing (Optional)
After extraction, you remain in the editor with the original document.
The original document is unchanged - all pages are still there.
You can continue editing or extract additional sets of pages.
- The original document remains completely unchanged
- You can extract pages multiple times to create different documents
- Extracted pages maintain their current rotation state
- Use this feature to split a large PDF into smaller, topic-specific documents
- Extract even/odd pages to separate double-sided scanned documents
- Rotate pages before extracting if needed - the extracted PDF will include the rotations
