How to Merge Specific Pages from Another PDF

Learn how to import selected pages from one PDF into another

Step-by-Step Instructions

1 Open the PDF Editor

From the File Manager, click on the PDF file you want to add pages to.

This becomes your "target" document.

2 Open the Merge Pages Panel

In the toolbar near the top, click the Merge pages button (icon with document and plus sign).

A side panel slides in from the left showing your other uploaded PDF files.

3 Select Source File

The panel displays a list of all your other PDF files (excluding the current one).

Click the radio button next to the file you want to pull pages from.

The file name and page count appear next to each option.

4 Choose Merge Position

Select where the new pages should be inserted:

  • "Add to bottom of document" (default): Pages appear at the end
  • "Add to beginning of document": Pages appear at the start

5 Specify Which Pages to Import

Option A: All Pages

  • Select "All pages" (default)
  • Every page from the source file will be imported

Option B: Custom Page Range

  • Select "Custom range"
  • A text field appears where you can enter specific pages
  • Enter page numbers and ranges using this format:

Single pages: 1, 3, 5

Ranges: 1-5, 8-10

Mixed: 1-3, 5, 7-9

Example: 1-3, 5, 7-9 imports pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, and 9

6 Complete the Merge

Click the Merge pages to document button at the bottom of the panel.

The pages are immediately added to your current document.

A green success notification appears briefly.

The side panel closes automatically.

7 Review Merged Pages

Scroll through the thumbnails to see the newly added pages.

Added pages appear at the beginning or end based on your position choice.

New pages have their original page numbers but can be identified by their content.

8 Further Editing (Optional)

  • You can now rearrange the merged pages by dragging them
  • You can rotate newly added pages if needed
  • You can delete unwanted pages
  • You can repeat the merge process to add pages from additional files

9 Save Your Changes

Click the Download button at the top right.

Your combined PDF will be generated and downloaded.

The downloaded file includes all pages in their current order.

Tips:
  • You can merge pages from multiple files before downloading
  • After merging, use drag-and-drop to position merged pages exactly where you want them
  • The custom page range feature is useful for extracting specific sections from longer documents
  • Invalid page numbers in the custom range are automatically ignored
